Lesson 152 - Modeling Distributed Workflows
(January 16, 2023)

Several lessons back Mark Richards made reference to a “business automation model” but never fully described what it was. Based on a question of the same in the comments section of that lesson, Mark decided to do a lesson describing this very useful model. A business automation model is an artifact that overlays a business workflow on top of a service or application context, showing which services perform what part of the workflow. It’s an effective artifact to model and manage distributed workflows, and in this lesson Mark shows you how to create and leverage it.
